Catalytic converter theft is increasing exponentially in New Mexico. Thieves will cut easily accessible ‘cats’ off of the underside of vehicles. Often, victims won’t realize until later.



• This is a FREE service, in partnership with local law enforcement. 
• Your Jiffy Lube technician will first paint a stripe in a bright, high temp paint on the catalytic converter.
• Then, they will engrave your vehicle’s full VIN over the paint stripe.
• The hope is that this will deter thieves from stealing your catalytic converter as it will be easier to track them and help law enforcement to prosecute.
